Welcome to visit the database for target genes of lncRNAs in Human and Mouse
Introduction:
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been emerged as critical regulators of gene expression at epigenetic, transcriptional and post-transcriptional level, yet which genes are regulated by lncRNAs remains to be characterized. To assess the effects of a specific lncRNA on gene expression, increasing researchers profiled gene expression level changes after knocking down and overexpressing the lncRNA, or conducting the lncRNA binding experiments by immunoprecipitation assays, pull down arrays and luciferase reporter assays. However, no online repository is currently available to collect these lncRNA-target relationships.
To make it convenient for researchers to know the relationship between lncRNA and their targets, we develop this database to provide a comprehensive resource of lncRNA-target relationships inferred from low-throughput experiments or lncRNA knockdown or overexpression experiments followed by microarray/RNA-seq.
LncRNA2Target v3.0 contains the most complete lncRNA-Target relationships to date. By reviewing all published lncRNA papers, we manually curated the lncRNA-target relationships confirmed by immunoprecipitation assays, RNA pull-down assays and luciferase reporter assays. We also identified all the differentially expressed target genes from the microarray and RNA-seq data after knocking down or overexpressing a lncRNA.
Currently, users can
• Obtain the target genes regulated by a lncRNA by searching the lncRNA gene ID or symbol.
• Obtain the regulatory lncRNAs of a specific target gene by searching the target gene ID or symbol.
• Download all manually curated lncRNA-target association data.
• Submit information of lncRNA-target relationship to the LncRNA2Target database.
